Choose the Type of Lens Plastic CR-39 (Plastic)
CR-39, or allyl diglycol carbonate, is a plastic polymer commonly used in the manufacture of eyeglass lenses. The CR stands for Columbia Resin.
CR-39 is transparent in visible spectrum and almost completely opaque in the ultraviolet range, it has high abrasion resistance, in fact the highest abrasion/scratch resistance of any uncoated optical plastic. CR 39 is about half the weight of glass . A wide range of colors can be achieved by dyeing of the surface or the bulk of the material. CR-39 is also resistant to most of solvents and other chemicals, to gamma radiation, to aging, and to material fatigue. It can withstand the small hot sparks from welding. Polycarbonate Polycarbonate.
Polycarbonate is characterized as a very durable material. Although polycarbonate has high impact-resistance, it has low scratch-resistance and so a hard coating is applied to polycarbonate eye-wear lenses. This polymer is highly transparent to visible light and has better light transmission characteristics than many kinds of glass.
Polycarbonate Generic name for the brand name plastic Lexan used to make highly shatter resistant ophthalmic lenses and a wide variety of other products which require optical clarity and shatter resistance (Space Shuttle windows, jet fighter canopies, bullet proof "glass")
The ultimate comfort! Extraordinarily light and thin. Exceptionally strong and durable. Farsighted prescriptions look much better in Ultralight Plus due to a flatter lens design that reduces the magnification of your eyes. The latest in polycarbonate technology, these lenses are up to 28% thinner, 36% lighter and 47% flatter than regular plastic lenses. High Index The index of refraction refers to the ability of a material to bend light. The higher the index the more ability to bend light. High index lenses are thinner and lighter than their standard counterparts making them more cosmetically appealing and more comfortable to wear since they are lighter.
Single Vision Single Vision Lenses- provide all-purpose vision to patients. They have one fixed field of focus at either distance vision, intermediate vision, or near vision.  FREE  $ 19 $ 59
Bifocal 28
Bifocal 35 A multifocal lens is really two lenses combined into one. Bifocals have a single visible line separating the two viewing zones. The upper part of the line bi-focal lenses correct distance vision and the lower part is for near vision

Executive bifocal Trifocals are lenses with three points of focus: usually for distance, intermediate and near. Trifocals have an added segment above the bifocal for viewing things in the intermediate zone, which is farther than the near zone: about arm's length away.

Progressives - Varilux, Zeiss Zeiss is premium progressives, which provide perfect vision all day long, indoors and out. You will enjoy comfortable, natural vision from the outset with no adaptation delays or conspicuous rocking or swimming effects.
The two main benefits of Varilux – PANORAMIC FIELDS and SUPER FAST ADAPTATION – meet the two principal requirements of wearers, removing the remaining obstacles to the adoption of varifocal lenses. Varilux offers widened fields of near, mid-distance and far vision. It is the perfect lens.  $ 119  $ 149 $ 199

Scratch Resistant Coating Scratch-resistant coatings (also known as a hard coat) can be added to the front and back surfaces of your lenses to increase their scratch resistance and durability and protect the investment you've made in your eyewear. Excessive scratching caused by everyday use of eyeglass lenses can compromise your vision and detract from your appearance.  FREE  FREE  FREE

Ultra-Violet (UV) Protection Ultraviolet light can't be seen by the human eye. Studies suggest that UV rays can be harmful to your vision. It can damage the cornea and lens of the eye. Polarized, high index and polycarbonate lenses include 99% UV protection.  FREE  FREE  FREE

Premium Anti Reflective Coating - Crizal Alize Crizal anti-reflective lenses set the industry standard in aesthetics and performance. Crizal lenses are specially designed using revolutionary methods that combine anti-glare properties with double-sided scratch resistance and an easy-to-clean finish. They resist dirt and smudges so you don’t have to clean them as often. And while most lenses let only 88% of light pass through, Crizal lenses allow transmission of more than 99% of light, with less than 1% of light being reflected. This allows you to see more clearly while others see your eyes without seeing your lenses. Crizal lenses also dramatically reduce glare and halos from lights at night, improving vision while driving.   $ 69.00  $ 69.00  $ 69.00
Super High Index 1.67 1.67 lenses set a new standard in the rapidly increasing high-index market, allowing thinner and flatter lenses. 1.67 index material make lenses remarkably thin and attractive. When compared to a 1.6 index lens, 1.67 is on average 15% thinner and 25% flatter. To achieve ultimate transparency 1.67 lenses are coated with Crizal. N/A N/A  $ 69.00
Premium High Index 1.74 (comes with AR) Hi-Index 1.74 lenses are the thinnest, flattest, and most cosmetically appealing lens ever developed and deserves the best of all technologies including the most advanced anti reflective lens treatment. These lenses are nearly 50% thinner than 1.50 index plastic and 13% thinner than 1.67 index, offering you the ultimate in technology and cosmetics by reducing the eye-shrinking effect that many high prescriptions have. Transition Grey, Brown A photochromic lens is the type of lens that changes its color/tint depending on the amount of light (ultraviolet rays) that are cast upon the lens. When more light is encountered, the lens becomes darker. Conversely, when less light is shined then the lens becomes lighter in color.  $ 59.00  $ 89.00  $ 129.00
Polarized Grey, Brown, Green Polarized lenses utilize polarized filtering technology to diffuse the concentrated light waves. This filtering process eliminates 99% of the reflected glare.  $ 89.00  $ 129.00  $ 169.00
Mirror  Coating Highly reflective coating greatly reduces the amount of light that reaches your eyes. Mirror coated lenses absorb anywhere from 10% to 60% more light than uncoated lenses. Generally applied over a dark sunglasses lens, but can be applied over any base color as well as polarized or non polarize lenses. These are good for higher altitudes, sand, water and snow. Although the most common are the silver, gold and copper metallic coatings.  $ 79.00  $ 79.00  $ 79.00
